Panellists

Jacob Hilton, Researcher, Alignment Research Center
Jacob Hilton is a researcher at the Alignment Research Center. Before working on ARC’s theoretical alignment research agenda, he was a researcher at OpenAI, where he worked on a variety of topics related to reinforcement learning, including reinforcement learning from human feedback, scaling laws, and mechanistic interpretability. He has a background in pure mathematics and received his PhD from the University of Leeds in 2016.

Paul Christiano, Researcher, Alignment Research Center
Paul Christiano is a researcher at the Alignment Research Center. ARC’s research focuses on producing white box estimates for a variety of computational problems motivated by applications to the alignment and robustness of ML systems. He was previously a researcher at OpenAI where he led efforts to scale up reinforcement learning from human feedback to deep neural networks and to production LLMs. He received his PhD from UC Berkeley in 2017 for research on manipulation-resistant learning algorithms.

S.P. Mohanty, Founder and CEO, AICrowd
Sharada Mohanty is the Founder and CEO of AIcrowd, where he leads the design and execution of large-scale research challenges across machine learning, AI benchmarking, and scientific discovery. Mohanty was previously a researcher at CERN and received his PhD from EPFL in 2025.

Can’t make it live? No problem. We’ll share the recording after the event. You can also comment your questions on this post, and we’ll address them during the townhall.

Looking forward to seeing you there,
Team AICrowd

Is there a link to the recording? I was unable to make it to the event itself.
