In order to predict current demand response flag, can we use future data of building power, dry bulb temperature, global horizontal radiations,…?
Hi gourav_saha,
Under the challenge rules (in Submission and Participation), we have specified that “Participants must exclusively train their models using the dataset provided by the organisers. The use of external datasets is strictly prohibited.”
Therefore, unfortunately, you will not be allowed to use future data. You may find you may be limited by the available data of demand response flags paired with the respective buildig power as it is a prescribed condition to activate a demand response event.
Your code and score will also be tested and confirmed at the completion of the FlexTrack Challenge.
I hope this answers your question.
I don’t think that was what he meant. I think what he meant was whether we can use the building power, dry bulb temperature and global horizontal radiations data from the future timestamp within in the provided csv test dataset to make a demand response capacity prediction at the current timestamp. I do have the same doubt. Someone please clarify this.
Can the host please confirm if using future data (from the train/test set) is permitted? This is an important caveat.
