Payment: international bank transfer (SWIFT) in USD to an account in the winner’s own name.
Tax and winner documents: these depend on each winner’s citizenship and residency, so our finance team will set them case by case once winners are known. Forms such as the W-8BEN may be part of it. Winners should expect to provide photo ID, proof of address and bank details, and to return the documents within 14 days. We can’t give tax advice, including on how to fill in tax forms.
Sanctions: under Section 3 of the Rules, residents of areas under comprehensive US, EU, UN or UK sanctions can’t receive prizes, though they may still take part and keep their rank. Eligibility depends on where you live, not your citizenship.
