I am considering participating in the competition with my friends, and wondering if each one of my friends need an account on AIcrowd and push the “participate” button on the competition page.

AICrowd does not have their team feature online yet. You are welcome to sign up individually for now and merge into a team later when that feature is released!

When we get the opportunity to unite in teams, will it be possible to unite different teams?
And also all participants must submit the same code or only one?
Are you asking if an individual can be part of multiple teams? Only one team will be allowed per individual. AIcrowd has not released the team feature yet, however the current team model is that submission limits are per team rather than per individual.
